HOW TO HELP

Jesus last words before ascending to the Father was to challenge His Church to be witnesses of the Gospel to the “uttermost parts of the earth.” (Acts 1:8) This was His mandate! He did not give it in the form of a nice suggestion or a multiple-choice option.

Jesus mandated His church – the whole church – to be engaged in heralding the Good News of Jesus

to the ends of the earth.

Teacher: Lizania Mojica

We visited a community off the central highway, about 10 kilometers inland, to the surrounding mountains and the very deteriorated road. Our purpose was to visit a church in Basilito, in search of the church we went through a very small community called the Mojica. There is a small preschool, God touched our hearts and we felt the need to visit that little school We talked with the teacher who told us that due to the small population there are not many children and she attends to four who come to classes.

The teacher, very grateful, said that the material we were giving her would be very useful since there were no churches there peri if there was a need for God and that many congregations have arrived, but none have decided to continue. She was aware that there is a God and they are thirsty for him. Maybe it was not our purpose to go through that place, but if it was God's purpose, it is necessary to listen to God. We feel the need to visit that community again, perhaps it does not matter the distance or the uncomfortable journey, only the souls that Jesus wants us to win for the Kingdom.
